I arrived in Paris last night on a crammed TGV from Marseille – air traffic controllers are on strike – standing room only while doing a high speed (180mph) 3 hour journey. Insanity.
After a meal in a lovely Japonese restaurant and a few drinks on the rue de Rivoli (main strip along the north side of the Louvre) I followed my hosts home to their 2nd floor apartment set in an fabulous medieval building on the Seine.
Got up early with a fuzzy head and darted off to meet one of Paris’ most talented music journalists, Thomas Blondeau. See http://tomazik.wordpress.com/ for more on him.
Following coffee and a croissant on the river I headed to the southern most point of the city. Another meal with another fabulous parisian, Beatrice Borwin – Governance Director at OMD (Omnicom’s Media Group).
Heading to the Eiffel tower in 10 after I’ve sliced a saucisson and applied some lip gloss. 3rd and final meeting of the day – Pique-nique des Communautes Managers. Rule of the game: Bring something for you and something to share. Saucisson it is then. See http://bit.ly/6WFQUd.
No time to upload pictures now – check back in the morning!
