Rubber Republic // Climate Disclosure Report 2020

In 2019, we declared a Climate Emergency and reshaped our business model to consider our impact on the world and use our business as a force for good.

Today we are launching our Climate Disclosure Report for 2020. In this report, we disclose our path to becoming badass sustainability Jedi masters and outline our considerations and commitments to people and the planet, with full transparency.

Check out how we are responding to the Climate Emergency here.

As a business, we have a responsibility to measure our impact on the world around us. And as individuals, we give a shit about the future.

Here are a few of the things we’re already doing as a business now:

    • Ensuring all of our films are carbon neutral – through reduction, measurement and offsetting.
    • Not accepting work from businesses who are responsible for negative environmental impacts.
    • We are a certified B Corp, using business as a force for good

And here are some improvements we are making to help things improve in 2020:

    • Updating and refining our ‘Environmental Impact Calculator’ tool which we built from the ground up to give us a more accurate measure of our carbon impacts.
    • Doubling our offsetting spend (offsetting double what we measure we need to)
    • Increase our charitable donation from 0.7% of turnover to 1% of turnover as of January 2020.

We’re always looking for more ideas of how we can do better so if you recommendations of things you’ve heard of or are doing, please hit us up!
