Rubber on the radio

Rubber Republic was up at the crack of dawn this morning to take part in a live debate about advertising on the 5 live breakfast show with Nicky Campbell and Shelagh Fogarty.

The debate centered around the Conservative Party poster campaign featuring David Cameron and a pledge not to cut NHS funding.

The poster campaign became widely mocked, inspiring a raft of mock ads on the internet. On the spoof website mydavidcameron.com ‘ads’ included an eerily perfect picture of Cameron alongside ‘Are we Blair yet?’ and ‘Vote Conservative or I’ll kill this kitten’.

As well as the show’s presenters, the debate also included Clifford Singer – the guy behind mydavidcameron.com. We hope to upload an audio-clip later or you can listen to the debate on iPlayer (2hours 25mins) to hear our thoughts.
