We created the content for the world’s first official Children & Young People’s Pavilion at #COP27, to help amplify youth voices before, during and after the negotiations.
Following our policy of training and supporting young people wherever possible, we worked to share some of our previous storytelling learnings with youth activists ahead of COP to create a shared strategy, in collaboration with Greenhouse Communications.
We then gathered footage with filmmakers on the ground around the world, including Kevin Mtai, Beatrice Bucht, and Zoe Broughton and used this to create a suite of shareable assets that pithily communicated key strategic asks of young people.
Finally these were shared via a network of youth organisations to tap into new and existing audiences online to reach an influential audience at and around Sharm el-Sheikh.
Children and young people are THE most affected generation by the Climate Crisis, so itโs long overdue that at #COP27 they had an official pavilion and voice for the first time.
Working with such incredible young spokespeople was a joy and made it a real challenge to pack the most potent messaging into short shareable films to really drive their messages home. It thrills us that the impact of this messaging was so large and was able to be used to help young people have a meaningful presence in the negotiations.ย
