Playable City Award

Here at Rubber HQ we love supporting creativity and fun. Which is why we’re proud to be partnering with our friends at the Watershed to support their Playable City Award. It’s a great new commission open to artists and creatives from across the world.

A ‘playable city’ invites and encourages residents and visitors to engage with the cultural and creative future of the city; to rewrite its services, places and stories.

So, here’s the challenge…

Use creative technologies in surprising and engaging ways to encourage people in exploring the ‘playable city’.

Bristol’s diverse economy across arts, media, technology and open spaces provides an ideal backdrop to be playful in public.

The winner will receive £30,000 to create a new work which will be installed in a public space in Bristol next summer before being toured internationally.
