We are proud to be a B Corp. In March, we will be celebrating what it means to be part of this fantastic community of businesses using their trade for the good of people and the planet.
You might be thinking, what is a B Corp?
Well, the traditional business model has become increasingly more fragile and prone to collapse. Through reckless practices and greed, businesses have been doing extreme damage to the environment and society.
B Corp is a community of businesses that reject those traditions and prioritise constant improvement to ensure that they exceed the demands and needs of society and the planet to propel everyone towards a brighter future. Over the last few years, this has become increasingly important throughout the Climate Crisis and Covid-19 pandemic.
To become accredited, B Corps are awarded a score based on their baked in positive practices that show how they prioritise society, workers and the environment as well as profit. This is done by completing an assessment divided into sections such as Governance, Workers, Community and Environment.
There are now more than 3,500 Certified B Corps in more than 70 countries! We joined the community in 2018.
From our perspective this isn’t about being worthy or preachy, it’s about pushing ourselves to innovate and work out how businesses can run so they have better outcomes all round, are more resilient, and more fun to work for and with. We want to encourage everyone we work with to use their business as a force for good and work with those who share our values.
