Iconic motorbike manufacturers, Triumph, are responsible for the world's largest production bike: the Rocket III. Top-notch digital agency
E3 media approached us to deliver a viral campaign that would 'show the humorous side of Triumph, while also raising the profile of the Rocket III and highlighting key attributes of the bike in an entertaining way'.
What we produced
'Triumph Rocket III: 21st century motorcycle manufacture', a short comedy film revealing 'how the Triumph Rocket III motorcycle is actually built and tested'. The film, whose revelations included engines being incubated in office cupboards and badger-related safety tests, was aimed at motorcycle enthusiasts and was run on YouTube and biker-related online communities and social networks.

The video prompted 7200 conversations online and received an outpouring of positive sentiment and commendatory comments including "As if owning one of these babies isn't good enough, Triumph makes this video. Triumph - you rock." and "One of the best "commericals" I've ever seen. Loved it." from viewers. It was featured on Michael Eisner's web channel Cream and broadcast twice on UK TV as programme content.
The pay off
The film has attracted over 400,000 views to date, with 230,000 views coming in the first three weeks of the campaign.
