Only 10 days ago we blogged about Mortal Kombat Rebirth and when transmedia becomes fansmedia.

How awesome it was then to see another group of fans – Bat in the Sun – create this similarly gritty 30 minute Batman short. It’s lower on production values than Mortal Kombat Rebirth or indeed a big budget film AND it plays around with established plot-lines/character interpretations but its fan heartiness is what’s seemingly driving the majority of the fan chatter around it.

If Nolan hadn’t made The Dark Knight or Batman Begins then you can’t help but think this interpretation would be spreading around with the same gusto from fans which drove the Mortal Kombat Rebirth short.
